The Stony Brook University Department of Psychology was founded in 1960 and is one of the university’s largest and strongest programs.
The Department offers two undergraduate degrees, a BA and a BS in psychology, a terminal MA in psychology, and doctoral degrees in four areas of psychology: Cognitive Science, Clinical Psychological Science, Integrative Neuroscience, and Social & Health Psychology

Clinical Psychological Science PhD Program: December 1
Social & Health PhD Program: December 15
Cognitive Science PhD Program: December 15
Integrative Neuroscience PhD Program: December 15
Note: All of Psychology’s PhD offers of admission include a stipend and tuition scholarship.
To receive full consideration for additional fellowships, domestic applicants to the Cognitive Science and Integrative Neuroscience Programs should submit by 12/15.
