The Advanced Graduate Certificate Program in Civil Engineering is designed for working professionals and practicing civil engineers seeking to enhance their knwoledge and skills. It also welcomes engineers from other disciplines as well as individuals with backgrounds in the physical sciences and mathematics.

Bridge to MS Program
All credits may count toward a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering for students who are accepted into the MS program.
Licensure Requirements
Meets the continuing education requirements for the Professional Engineering (PE) license mandated by the New York State Education Department, thereby fulfilling licensing requirements while obtaining a graduate certificate.
Requirements

Coursework
Minimum of 15 graduate course credits, of which 12 credits must be taken in the CIV program.
Time Limit
Completion within three years. If taken in collaboration with a graduate degree program, then completion within five years.
Transfer Credits
Maximum of three graduate credits may be transferred from other programs toward the certificate.
