Iris Wang About Coach Iris (she/her) earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Wisconsin River Fall and her Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development from St. Cloud State University. She has been working in the education field for over 6 years and more than 3 years in student affairs. During her time at St. Cloud State University, Iris served in multiple roles at Advising and Student Transitions, International Admissions and Career Center. In those positions, she provided counseling sessions and career coaching to diverse student populations, supporting their academic success and professional development. As a first-generation graduate student, Iris is deeply committed to advancing access, equity, and success for underserved and underrepresented student communities. Her previous experiences in coaching and counseling, along with her academic background in student development theories and career development theories, has prepared her well for a smooth transition to the SBU Career Center. Iris is eager to foster a supportive and inclusive environment, helping every student succeed in their career journey. Since then, this passion has grown into a purpose-driven career focused on guiding students in discovering their strengths, building confidence, and pursuing meaningful career goals.
