Iris Wang
Iris (she/her) earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Wisconsin River Fall and her Master of Science in College Counseling and Student Development from St. Cloud State University. She has been working in the education field for over 6 years and more than 3 years in student affairs. During her time at St. Cloud State University, Iris served in multiple roles at Advising and Student Transitions, International Admissions and Career Center. In those positions, she provided counseling sessions and career coaching to diverse student populations, supporting their academic success and professional development. As a first-generation graduate student, Iris is deeply committed to advancing access, equity, and success for underserved and underrepresented student communities. Her previous experiences in coaching and counseling, along with her academic background in student development theories and career development theories, has prepared her well for a smooth transition to the SBU Career Center. Iris is eager to foster a supportive and inclusive environment, helping every student succeed in their career journey.
Yoon Yu Yu Ya About Coach Originally joining Stony Brook University as an international student, Yoon earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and graduated summa cum laude in 2022. She was honored with the College of Business Academic Excellence in Marketing award, reflecting both academic achievement and a strong commitment to professional development. Yoon’s interest in career coaching and relationship-building began while serving as a Teaching Assistant, where she supported students in their academic and professional development, with a focus on helping them navigate their career paths. Since then, this passion has grown into a purpose-driven career focused on guiding students in discovering their strengths, building confidence, and pursuing meaningful career goals. Having worked across multiple campus departments, Yoon brings a broad understanding of the university ecosystem and valuable experience collaborating with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds. As a Career Coach, she is committed to empowering students throughout their career journey while fostering supportive and lasting connections that extend beyond graduation.
