Student Health Insurance

All full-time, matriculated domestic and outbound Stony Brook students are automatically enrolled onto the student health insurance plan. Students have the option to waive the student health insurance plan if they have comparable coverage that meets the required standards of the University.

Dining Services

SBU Eats

SBU Eats provides food service and catering for the Stony Brook campus community. There are eight dining locations across campus, including two meal swipe locations and several food trucks.

Culinart Group Catering Collection

Delicious catering options are available to the campus community. Choose from a wide variety of options or work with our catering team to customize a package that fits your needs.

5% of every catering order placed with CulinArt Catering Collection is donated to the SBU Eats Scholarship fund for students.

This scholarship is designed to help ensure that no Seawolf faces food insecurity.

The Auxiliary Services Association (ASA) in partnership with CulinArt works directly with the SBU Student Support Team to provide these funds to support Stony Brook University students’ emotional, physical, and intellectual wellness.

Farmer's Fridge

Farmer's Fridge is a vending machine concept filled with healthy meals and snacks including salads, sandwiches, bowls, and trail mix. The products are made from high quality, seasonal ingredients from local partners whenever possible, and are sold in sustainable mason jars. Salads are served in screw-top, reusable plastic jars to make mixing with dressing easy. Once these are consumed, customers can keep the containers or return them to a Farmer's Fridge location to be recycled.

Auxiliary Services

ASA Agency Accounts

The Auxiliary Services Association of Stony Brook University, (“ASA”) a non-profit (501-C-3) corporation, has been designated as the Campus-related organization authorized to administer Agency accounts on the Stony Brook University campus and, as fiscal agent, to receive, hold, and disburse funds on behalf of students, faculty, staff members, or appropriately recognized organizations.  ASA has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure the funds are maintained and used in accordance with the approved purpose and in accordance with SUNY Policies and procedures 7010-Study Abroad Program, 7200-Agency Account, and 7201-Agency Account Guidelines.

Duo Tokens

Duo Tokens are keychain fobs that can be used to generate Duo Passcodes for all your Stony Brook Single Sign On Applications. The tokens may be purchased at the ASA Offices (West Side Dining, Second Floor) for $24.00+tax using Wolfie Wallet funds only.

FedEx Office Print Service Center

Located on the Lower Level of the Melville Library, Room 0320

The FedEx Office Print Service Center provides quick turn-around black and white and color copies, large format printing for posters, banners and signs, packing and shipping services and supplies, direct mail services, "kitting" for presentation pieces, and a summer storage program.

Food Safety Permit (EHS)

The Department of Environmental Health and Safety can approve food permits for specific events at Stony Brook University.  But keep in mind, food permits must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the event. Call (631) 632-6410 for questions.
